The course focuses on the acquisition of theoretical practices and the development of skills related to the application of tools and techniques of Art Therapy in children and adolescents.
It is addressed to: Psychologists, Mental Health Specialists, Kindergarten Teachers, Educators, Special Therapists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists and the general public in interest. The specific aims of the course are to discover the importance of children’s artistic expression in their personal development (developmental, psycho-emotional, physical and spiritual content), the role of supporting materials and their properties in the artistic expression of children and the contribution of art therapy as an intervention in children and adolescents with various psychopathological issues.
Our experts use art as a bridge between the unconscious thoughts of a child and his hidden relationship with the image. They provide valuable information on psychology and psychopathology issues (Learning Difficulties, Separation Anxiety Disorders, Autism, Asperger Disorder, etc.) which are related with wider playing methods and art therapy.
At the end of the project, participants received “An ACHAIA Education Art Therapy Training Certificate” that verifies learned new techniques and methods which will be valuable for their future engagement with the object.
The theoretical part will be accompanied by experiential seminars. Furthermore educators and theirs students will be able to broaden their cognitive and emotional level through the open dialogue of psychological theory and art.
